My journey.

My journey.

I’m Yan Hladchenko, a Product Designer originally from Mariupol, 🇺🇦.

After moving to Dnipro for university, I started building my career in digital design. Today, I’m based in Budapest, Hungary — a new chapter that began when the war in Ukraine forced me to leave home.

Sports shaped a big part of who I am. I spent my childhood on football fields ⚽ and tennis courts 🎾, winning a few tournaments along the way.

My first real design project? Creating 3D logos of football teams in Photoshop and uploading them online, hoping players would download them for their FIFA and PES games.
I didn't know it back then, but that small passion project would eventually lead me into product design.

Today, I work as a Senior Product Designer at Raiffeisen Bank, focused on building better digital banking experiences.
Outside of work, I mentor students at Projector Institute and host "Interface" — a podcast about real-world UX, product thinking, and design careers.

I’m passionate about products that make a real difference, about teaching and learning, and about building experiences that feel as good as they function.

When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me chasing tennis balls, shooting a new roll of film 📷, watching football matches, or exploring Budapest’s architecture and hidden corners.
